Precision Medicine Graduate Certificate

The Graduate Certificate in Precision Medicine was designed to meet the needs of those working in a health care or industry setting, research, teaching, post-doctoral fellows and graduate students. The program explores topics in pharmacogenomics, genomic technologies, medical genetic implementation and other clinical applications of precision medicine. This program is best suited for both clinicians and non-clinicians.


Program Overview

This 9-credit, fully online certificate program can be completed in 1 year (12 months) or three semesters. Typically, most students opt for the one-year plan, while some working professionals may take more than one year to complete. Students have up to seven years to complete the program from admission. Please note that students who do not enroll in at least one class for more than two consecutive semesters will become inactive and need to reapply for readmission into the program.

*These four required foundational courses (6 credits) must be completed prior to enrolling in any elective coursework and were designed to provide students with a solid foundation in precision medicine and pharmacogenomics.


*A minimum of 3 credit hours of elective coursework must be completed in addition to the 6 credit hours of required foundational courses to earn a Graduate Certificate in Precision Medicine issued by the Graduate School of the University of Florida.
