When should I apply?
Our online graduate programs offer three enrollment periods each year: Fall, Spring, and Summer. We encourage you to apply early to ensure you have plenty of time to meet all application requirements and deadlines. Review the application checklist for all the details you need.
Apply anytime with our rolling admissions:
- Spring: January – April
- Summer: May – August
- Fall: August – December
With rolling admissions, we review and make decisions on applications as they come in. This means you don’t have to wait for a specific deadline—your application is important to us whenever you submit it. You can find all the key dates and deadlines here. Mark your calendar so you don’t miss anything important.
What are the requirements for admission?
We’re looking for driven and passionate individuals to join our program. To be considered for our online graduate certificate or Master’s degree programs, you’ll need to meet the following criteria:
- A bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution
- A GPA of 3.0 or better for upper-division undergraduate work
- Submission of the UF application and application fee
- A Statement of Purpose that reflects your goals and passion
- A current résumé/CV that highlights your achievements
For our online Master’s program, we also ask for three letters of recommendation from those who can speak to your academic and professional strengths. Remember, we review every application holistically, so even if you meet the minimum requirements, make sure your application showcases the very best of what you have to offer.
How do I calculate my GPA?
Your upper-division GPA is typically based on coursework completed after the first 60 credit hours, usually during your junior and senior years. Use our GPA Calculator to estimate your self-reported GPA for the UF application. If your GPA doesn’t fit the traditional mold, don’t worry—the UF Office of Admissions will calculate an equivalent GPA for you.
Where do I send my transcripts?
Getting your transcripts to us is easy! We require official transcripts only from the institution that conferred your undergraduate or Master’s degree. The quickest way to submit them is electronically, by selecting the University of Florida. If your school doesn’t offer this option, have them sent directly to te@admissions.ufl.edu.
For international applicants, we’ll need an official copy of each transcript, mark sheet, and diploma/degree certificate from every university or college you’ve attended. These documents should be in their native language, with a certified English translation if needed.
Send all documents directly to our offices using a trackable shipping method. Include a self-addressed, paid envelope so we can return your documents after evaluation.

Do you accept transfer credits?
Due to our unique blended-model curriculum, we don’t accept transfer credits from other universities. However, if you’ve taken courses as a non-degree-seeking student in UF’s online graduate programs and earned a grade of “B” or higher, those credits may be transferred if you’re accepted into the Master’s program. Note: non-degree coursework doesn’t guarantee admission.
Do I need to submit a GRE score?
Good news! The GRE isn’t required for admission to our online Master’s programs in the College of Pharmacy. If you’ve already taken the GRE and want to submit your scores, you can do so through the application portal.
What should be included in my Statement of Purpose?
Your Statement of Purpose is your chance to shine! Use it to explain your goals and why you’re passionate about pursuing graduate education. Here’s what we’re looking for:
- Why you’re interested in the field and how you discovered it
- Any relevant work experiences
- Your career goals and how our program will help you achieve them
We can’t wait to read about your journey!
What should be included in my résumé or Curriculum Vitae?
Your résumé is a snapshot of your achievements and experiences. Make sure it includes:
- Your education history
- Internships, jobs, awards, and skills
- Any ongoing international affiliations and research funding
Pursuant to Florida Statute, your application requires the inclusion of all post-high school education and employment, as well as information about ongoing international affiliations and research funding. Please ensure this information is included on your curriculum vitae (CV) or résumé.
This is your chance to highlight everything that makes you a standout candidate!
May I apply to more than one online Master’s concentration? Is it possible to switch concentrations after being admitted?
When you apply, you’ll need to choose one concentration. If you decide to switch after admission, we’ll do our best to accommodate you, but it depends on factors like the capacity of your desired concentration and the applicability of the coursework you’ve already completed.
Are University of Florida online graduate programs accredited?
The University of Florida is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges to award associate’s, baccalaureate, Master’s, educational specialist, and doctoral degrees. The university may also offer credentials such as certificates and diplomas at approved degree levels. For questions about the accreditation of the University of Florida, please visit their website.
Financial Aid FAQs
Are online graduate students eligible for financial aid?
Degree-seeking online graduate students are eligible for the same financial aid as campus-based students, as long as you meet the required number of credit hours per semester. Start by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FASFA) as early as possible.
Please note that online graduate certificate students are not eligible for federal financial aid.
What financial aid options are available?
Online Master’s students can apply for private and federal loans. Start by completing the FAFSA as early as possible. Use UF’s Federal School Code (001535) to ensure your application is processed correctly. Make sure to complete all FAFSA and OneUF steps promptly to avoid any delays in disbursement.
Online graduate certificate students, while not eligible for federal financial aid, may qualify for private loans. Non-degree seeking students are not eligible for federal or private loans. Contact our Financial Aid Coordinator to discuss private student loan eligibility.
Are the state of Florida employee tuition waiver or the University of Florida EEP program applicable to this program?
The state of Florida employee tuition waiver and the University of Florida EEP program do not cover tuition for this program. We are an off-book program that does not receive state funds.
Can on-campus UF students or students on graduate assistantships/fellowships/grants register for these courses?
Generally, UF students admitted to an on-campus program or those whose enrollment is covered by an assistantship, fellowship, or grant are not allowed to register for our courses. However, in some cases, special sections may be available, and students would pay the regular graduate tuition rate based on their residency status.

Checking Your Application Status FAQs
How do I confirm my application packet is complete?
After you’ve submitted all the required materials, send a quick email to your Enrollment and Admissions Coordinator to confirm that your packet is ready for review by the admissions committee. Complete application packets are reviewed holistically, so be sure your materials accurately reflect your potential as a prospective student.
When will I find out about my admissions decision?
We know waiting can be tough, so we aim to release admissions decisions 4-6 weeks after the application deadline for each enrollment period. To keep things moving smoothly, be sure to submit all your materials early and double-check that everything is complete.
How can I check the status of my application?
Within 24-48 hours after submitting your online application, you’ll receive your unique 8-digit UFID. Use this number to check the status of your application. Be sure to use the same username and password you used to submit your CollegeNET application. Keep your UFID secure—this number will be your key identifier throughout the application process and during your time in the program if accepted.
Stay on top of your application by checking the receipt of your materials through the Office of Admissions. Just click the Check Your Status button. This page reflects only information concerning materials forwarded directly to the Office of Admissions, so if you have specific questions, don’t hesitate to reach out to your Enrollment and Admissions Coordinator.
